Riders and coaches from the National Cycling Centre recently celebrated success in Newport.

It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces down at the Masters, with plenty of regulars from the National Cycling Centre on the boards across the weekend. NCC riders were out in force, with 23 competing in the Open events and 3 riders representing in the Women’s events. Riders participated in an impressive 77 events between them.

This included lots of medals coming back to Manchester, including from our own coaches Dave Heald and Bob Barber, who both took Masters national titles in their events. Dave went a step further as well, breaking the national record in his category in the 750m TT  - and the age group below too, although he’s told us not to mention that!

Overall, it looked a fantastic weekend and it's great to see all your hard work and training turn into success. We’re looking forward to seeing all those white jerseys back out on track here at the National Cycling Centre.
