The National Cycling Centre is getting ready to welcome a different kind of elite sport later this month, as AO Manchester Thunder face Loughborough Lightning in the Netball Super League on Thursday 30 May.
It’s a great moment for the venue, which is proud to open its doors to top-flight netball and bring another major event into the heart of Manchester. With the current top two sides in the league going head-to-head, fans can expect a fast, physical and highly competitive match.
Thunder come into the game with real firepower across the court. Players like Eleanor Cardwell and England star Helen Housby are always ones to watch in attack. Loughborough Lightning will be just as dangerous, with shooter Mary Cholhok’s presence in the circle and the creativity of Nat Panagarry in midcourt making them a constant threat.
Tickets for the match are available now and can be purchased here: https://app.fanbaseclub.com/Fan/Fixtures
For those who can’t make it in person, the match will be shown live on the BBC Sport website and BBC Red Button. It promises to be a brilliant evening of sport at the National Cycling Centre.
