The National Cycling Centre was proud to host Manchester AO Thunder's Netball Super League play-off fixtures for the first time, before the team went on to lift the championship trophy at the Grand Final at Co-op Live. Goal Attack Sophie Fauks scored the winning point to secure the title and bring the trophy home to Manchester.

Following Thunder's success, Sophie visited the National Cycling Centre to meet and support our Walking Netball group, who have been playing every Friday for the past three years.

The group has grown to 24 regular players and is a fantastic example of how netball is a sport for everyone, providing opportunities to stay active, build friendships and enjoy the game regardless of age or ability.

Sophie's visit was a wonderful way to celebrate both elite and community netball, highlighting the important role the National Cycling Centre plays in supporting sport at every level.
